Das TRIO BALKAN STRINGS (Zoran Starcevic & Söhne: Nikola und Zeljko), die Gitarrenfamilie aus Belgrad, spielt eine eigenständige und unverwechselbare Instrumental-Musik, eine Fusion vieler Balkan-Elemente: Serbisch, Gypsy, Mazedonisch, Rumänisch, Moldauisch, Bulgarisch, Ungarisch, Mittelmeer, Griechisch, Oriental ... darunter auch Jazz-Improvisationen und klassischer Elemente.
